Services - FAQ

What kind of children do you see at the Children’s Therapy Center?

We serve children who are experiencing a developmental delay or have a developmental disability as a result of birth, injury or illness.

How do I know if my child has a developmental delay?

If you have any concerns about your child’s development, talk to your child’s doctor. A physician’s prescription is required in order to receive services at the Children’s Therapy Center.

How old must my child be to receive services at the Children’s Therapy Center?

The largest group of children at the Children’s Therapy Center is aged birth to three years old. The second largest group of children is aged three years to five years old.

The Children’s Therapy Center provides therapy to children up to the age of approximately nine years old. Exceptions are made based upon the individualized needs of the child.

What will it cost me to have my child receive services from the Children’s Therapy Center?

It depends. The Children’s Therapy Center is a Preferred Provider with a number of insurance companies, and accepts their payments as payments in full. This is also true with several Illinois and Iowa state agencies. There are also scholarship funds available for families who have limited resources. Our costs to provide services to children are the following:

Evaluations$40.00/15 minute intervals
Physical therapy$35.00/15 minute intervals
Occupational therapy$35.00/15 minute intervals
Speech therapy$35.00/15 minute intervals
Feeding therapy$35.00/15 minute intervals

Why should I choose Children’s Therapy Center for my child?

The therapists at Children’s Therapy Center work only with children. Their training and experience especially qualifies them for working with children. All of the therapists at Children’s Therapy Center are licensed providers of Early Intervention Services (in both Illinois and Iowa). Therapy to children is always provided by a licensed therapist, not an aide or assistant.

Can I call you to talk with someone?

Therapy staff members are always willing to discuss individual situations with parents in order to determine if we can be of any assistance.
