Occupational Therapy
Fundraising events generate 30% of our total annual budget each year. The support we receive from sponsors, individuals and volunteers makes these events successful and helps guarantee that no child is ever turned away if the child’s family lacks the resources to pay for the cost of the services needed and provided.

Services - FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my contribution tax deductible?
Yes, the Children’s Therapy Center is a qualified 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. Upon request, we provide donors with receipts for their charitable contribution. Receipts for donations of $250.00 or more are automatically sent out to donors for their tax records.
How is my contribution used?
Contributions made to the Children’s Therapy Center are used to pay for the cost of direct therapy services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy) to local children.
Can I designate how I want my contribution used?
Yes, some donors want their contributions to be used for children from a particular area, some for a special therapy area, and others sometimes for equipment for therapy. We honor these requests from our donors.
How do I know that my contribution is being used wisely?
A local Board of Directors made up of all volunteers from our community oversee the work of the Children’s Therapy Center. Board committees meet regularly to review the operation of the organization. Also, an independent audit is conducted each year.
How important is my contribution to the Children’s Therapy Center?
Last year, contributions from local individuals, organizations, businesses and foundations made up 53.8% of our operating budget. Every $35.00 that you give provides one unit of therapy to a local child.
Are you a United Way agency?
The Children’s Therapy Center is not a United Way agency. We do receive money through the United Way Donor Option program, however.
